I've had an account here for some time. I have played around with various aspects of the site. However, I have not done so systematically. For instance, I have only just gotten around to setting up this web-site. Additionally, I am only really getting the gopher burrow set up on SDF. I have web-sites and burrows elsewhere.
When I think about it, SDF is a rather amazing undertaking. It is something of a safe haven for those of us who are wayfarers in life. There is a hotel in Manhattan that is like that for members of my family. There is another in Rome and London. When we are passing through, we know that with a little forward planning, we will be able to stay in familiar digs.
Year after year, SDF remains a fortress welcoming us back after we have wandered around elsewhere on the Internet or the Fediverse. I am gratefully to those who have gone before me. They set up and maintained something that has stood the test of time. Now, its time for me to undertake a more consistent support for the Super Dimension Fortress. It's time to put down more permanent roots.
Hopefully, by doing so, there will be something here in the future for younger wayfarers.
